Take the staff Census

Workers helping provide vital public services and support to Australians during times of need should not be treated as ‘second-class employees’.

Every year the federal Government conducts a public service staff Census, surveying employees’ attitudes and opinions on job satisfaction, leadership, training and more.

The Census informs important decisions made about the direction and workings of the APS, but tens of thousands of workers working in the public sector on labour hire are left out.

We think workers on labour hire should have been included in the Census – so we have replicated the APS Census to provide a labour hire perspective.

Workers on labour hire deserve respect, job security and equal pay for equal work, and they deserve to be heard.
